Important information
Is it safe to cycle in Giverny?
Very safe! Bike lanes through the small towns & stunning countryside paths along the Seine. You can enjoy stress-free cycling, far from the traffic and crowds.
Do your tours of Monet’s House & Gardens in Giverny include a guided tour of the gardens?
All our tours of Monet’s include a guided tour of the gardens, the Water Lilies, Japanese Bridge & Clos Normand with a fully licensed member of our team. We do not just drop you off! We use earpieces so you can hear your guide, can ask questions & don’t miss a thing! *Please note that nobody can guide inside Monet’s House to avoid blocking the rooms. That said your guide will be present, with plenty of stories, you will not miss a thing & you will get to visit the inside.
Do you recommend travelling by train or van?
Trains in France are highly efficient, clean & comfortable – not to mention the views you can enjoy rather than staring at the highway. We always recommend train over van, as a travel conscious, environmentally friendly, comfortable and much less costly option than van transportation. *At the time of writing (Summer 2022) gas prices in Europe are very high!
Do I need to carry my bike on the train?
Absolutely not, our bikes are ready & waiting on arrival!
Do I need to purchase any extra tickets on the day?
No. All tickets, travel (including train tickets to and from Vernon), access to Monet’s House & Gardens are all included.
We are already in Normandy, can we start the tour there?
Yes, simply let us know in the notes section when you book and we will contact you with details of where and when to meet us in Vernon.
